In this article and the accompanying video, I unpack why it’s essential to be clear on what you want—whether that’s personal growth, career milestones, or creative breakthroughs. Your ability to visualize starts with absolute clarity on the outcome you desire.
1. What Does Be Clear on What You Want Truly Mean?
This isn’t just wishful thinking. Visualization is a two-part process: mental creation (your vision) and physical action (daily habits). To make manifestation work, you have to be clear on what you want with laser focus—and then align your habits accordingly.
2. The Identity → Goals → Habits Strategy
I shared my Identity Evolution Cycle:
- Identity: Your long-term vision or mission.
- Goals: Short-to-medium term targets—projects you break down over 6–12 months.
- Habits: Daily actions that reinforce your identity and push you closer to your goals.
To be clear on what you want, start by writing your identity (e.g. “I’m a creative entrepreneur offering value through software and self-publishing”), define 3–4 goals for the next six months, and anchor them with daily habits.
3. Forming Habits: From Pain to Power
Developing new habits is tough—it can take 3 months to embed them, and up to 6 months to see real change. As I mention in the video, once you’ve powered through resistance, your habits begin to stick and reinforcement becomes natural. Slip-ups happen—just get back on track and keep going.
4. The Placebo Effect & Visualization Aids
I talk about how carrying crystals like citrine provides a placebo boost—symbolic reminders that support your mindset. They help you be clear on what you want by placing a physical cue on your journey.
5. Why Begin with the End in Mind?
Referencing Seven Habits of Highly Effective People, “begin with the end in mind” underscores that “all things are created twice”—first mentally, then physically. True success happens when visualization and aligned action meet.
